Falcon Eyes Bi-Color LED Lamp Sophiez SO-48TDX II

The Falcon Eyes SO-48TDX II (or the modern version of the SO-48TD) is a bi-color LED lamp with extremely soft light.
The SO-48TDX II has an output of 48 watts and is 48 cm in diameter. The light is emitted in one soft haze, so that the individual LED lights are not visible. 
 

To adjust the light optimally, you can make use of a number of handy functions. For example, you can adjust the colour temperature from 3000K (warm yellow light) to 5600K (daylight). You can also steplessly add more or less power. In addition, the SO-48TDX II lets you use themed effects to recreate many situations in lifelike fashion. You can use the Sophiez lamp with mains power, or with an optionally available V-mount battery. An adapter is supplied as standard with this lamp, making it possible to use the LED lamp with two NP-F batteries. The lamp is provided with a universal spigot connection, so that it fits on any conventional lamp stand. On the sides, the lamp is provided with hinge points, so that you can adjust the lamp in almost every angle.

What does TDX II mean?

The SO-48TDX II (TDX version 2) can be seen as an upgrade/re-style of the SO-48TD. What has changed? In addition to the familiar functionalities, you can now use 9 themed effects, such as flashing lights, lightning and candlelight. This offers even more possibilities for video recordings, for example. In addition, the control menu has been changed with which you determine the settings - such as colour temperature - of the lamp. To operate the SO-48TDX II remotely you need the RC-5B remote control. Do you still have the regular SO-48TD? Then control the lamp using the Falcon Eyes RC-6. To control several TDX lamps centrally, you can now use DMX or the remote control.

Application Falcon Eyes SO-48TDX II

The SO-48TDX II is a suitable accessory for photo and video recordings in your studio, but also on location. Because of its soft, comfortable light and round shape, the LED lamp is ideal for portrait photography, for example. What's more, in contrast to torch, you can see in advance what effect the light will have on the subject. The soft, widespread light (65 degrees) ensures a natural reproduction of the subject.
