Learn action and sports photography

Would you like to take your photography to the next level?

Are you curious about action photography and sports photography?

Would you like to get more out of your auto focus?

In this course we will work with various aspects of sports and action photography. The course consists of two parts: a theoretical and a practical.

During the theoretical part, we will cover how to frame and focus a sports photograph. Roc Jimenez will take us through the difference between shooting with a model and shooting at events. Roc will also cover how to correctly expose a sports photo, which lenses to use, and which compromises you often have to make in the field.

Roc will take us through the importance of understanding the patterns of movement of the sport in question, and which safety measures to take.

After the theoretical part, we will move outside, where you will have the unique chance of photographing athletes. Mountain bike riders will join us in the foresty scenery near Vejle and you will have the chance to photograph under the guidance of Roc.

Canon representative Gönen Genc will join us and bring Canon cameras and lenses for you to try. Vefa Foto will join with special Canon offers for the course participants.

Please note, that the course will be taught in English.

Roc Jimenez

The workshop will be taught by Roc Jimenez. Roc is a skilled action photographer and videographer. Roc has a background in skiing and his deep understanding of sports, patterns of movement and safety in sports has shaped his photographic skills and practice. Roc works fulltime with sports photography such as cycling events, skiing, water sports, etc

Programme:

10.15 - Welcome and presentation.

10.30 - Theoretical part. Will be held at Økolariet, Vejle.

11.30 - Lunch. A sandwich is included in the price.

12.15 - Workshop. Location to be announced.

15.45 - Goodbye
